Having graduated in Psychology in University College London and studied in Diocesan Boys' School (DBS), I have been immersed in native English speaking environments since I was born.

My English Language capabilities is most illustrated in my IELTS examination result, when I achieved a score of 8/9, with full marks in both Reading Comprehension and Listening.

I have tutored English for more than 5 years already, developing and delivering classes on reading comprehension, vocabulary, oral/presentation skills, grammar and essay writing. I also teach IELTS.

As an education consultant in Capston Prep and Assurance Education, I also prepped students for English interviews at top boarding schools and universities around the world.

My strongest asset as a tutor is my experience dealing with different types of students. Having taught more than 100 individual students over my career, I know how to connect with students and more importantly, how students absorb information and learn. English is not difficult to learn but difficult to master, and I specialise in taking students from a beginner level to an advanced level. Read less

Throughout my years of teaching, I find that students learn best when given a combination of theory and practise questions to learn from. In an hour of English class, my students would usually spend the first 15-20 minutes learning about theory, such as grammatical knowledge, reading comprehension techniques and so on. I will then administer practise questions during the remaining 40-45 minutes, guiding a student through each and every question carefully. Read less
