I speak English but hired Kuhn Steve to help me with my business English skills. This included accent reduction, sentence structure, vocabulary, reading and writing. He is the best tutor I have ever used. He is patient and explains everything in a very clear and easy to follow way. His examples are perfect because he chooses "Thai examples" that he will break down and discuss in English. My accent is much better and my understanding has increased. I even get the English slang and phrases. He even tutored me in mathematics as I was preparing for my accounting certifications. Hire him, you will be so very happy.
Each lesson plan that I develop will cover the core material for that learning objective. In addition, I will incorporate math related activities, games and challenges that will reinforce each concept in a way that helps students understand and retain the material faster.
I typically teach 1 on 1 or in small groups and this is done in person or online. For online sessions, I will leverage an app such as Zoom and then utilize the white board functionality, notes section and other tools that are available.
My specialty areas include probability and statistics, predictive modeling and analytics, ISEE, IGCSE, MAP, SSAT, cognitive abilities tests, and more.
I prefer to update parents after each lesson in order to keep them informed of their child's progress and be able to highlight any areas needing additional focus or if there are areas where the child is advanced.
Definitely. I incorporate practice tests, practice exams, online tests, quizzes and evaluations and other available resources.
Homework assignments are intended to check covered topics and assignments and also tie one lesson to the following in order to build upon them in a steady and clear manner.
Every student is unique and has a unique style of learning. I evaluate what that style is in the first lesson and then reinforce concepts with the style that will be in line with the students learning style. This could be visual learning, auditory learning, learn by doing, learn by reading, etc.
At present, I do not have experience with students demonstrating learning challenges.
